Saab Key Programming
Saab cars made from 1994 have an immobilizer system based on a set of keys. To add an additional key, you need a new transponder and special programming. This is usually done at the dealer with a specialized Tech2 diagnostic tool.

Transponder key
The transponder is a piece of key that is equipped with an electronic chip. This chip sends a signal when the key is inserted into the ignition. The car checks to see whether the signal matches with the one on the key. If the signals are identical it will open itself and start. This is a great way to safeguard your car from theft.

Jumpstarting the battery
A lot of people keep a set of jumper cables in their trunk to use in an emergency, but jumping a battery on modern cars might not be the most efficient option. These vehicles are equipped with digital and computer systems that communicate with one another.
